I'm Carter Crews, a 32 year-old software developer for
FortyAU, a consultancy firm with offices in Nashville, TN and Denver, CO.
I'm a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Computer Science and I graduated on May 6, 2017.
Ever since I was a child, I've had a passion for technology. I got my first computer when I was in 3rd grade, and my parents were surprised when I
told them I read the entire manual that came with the computer. Over time I found it fascinating learning about how these powerful machines work.
As I got older my knowledge also increased. Once I turned 16, I started advertising my expertise and computer repair skills. It started as a few small, one-off
repairs for a few of my dad's associates. Since then I've helped people across Northwest Tennessee with their tech issues. When it came time to
decide a career, I had no doubt in my mind it would revolve around computing.
In addition to my software development career, I also work for
Amazon as a work-from-home call center agent. I answer questions
and fix issues with a customer's order or account, such as replacing a lost package, setting up returns, and managing an Amazon Prime subscription.
